About us
Vision
Lakewood Ranch FC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth sports and education organization, FL Registration CH58104, affiliated with USSSA Soccer.
Beyond the footwork, on the field we teach life skills such as cooperation, motivation, etiquette, and ethics. Our club seeks to generate a sense of family, community, and loyalty. We promote an atmosphere which creates a soccer experience that transcends the playing field and includes contact between both players and parents through training, travel, and social interaction.
Play
So often, soccer clubs can make children feel like a “number” and only focus on recreation, or at the other extreme, focus only on athletics and place enormous time and financial obligations on families, while overlooking diversity, social skills and education.
We are a selective club seeking individuals who are both passionate about soccer and academically. We require report cards to play.
Our coaches and staff include former professional soccer players as well as school teachers, and bring years of experience from around the world. They offer world class training using the Coerver® methodology, guidance and support to our players, and above all, share our commitment to preparing the youth of tomorrow.
We select as many players as possible from under-served communities and provide scholarships for demonstrated financial need. Anyone who has the motivation is able to join our club.
Learn
Of course, our players are passionate about and motivated to excel in the “beautiful game”. We expect their athletic and academic commitment and will do our part to encourage growth and development and guide them to their own success.
One such “success” consistently in demand among parents and athletes alike, is the college sports scholarship.
We strive to connect with the educational resources and the mentors our players need through partnerships with like-minded organizations. We forge connections to provide guidance for them through the school system, their class selections, the college recruitment process, and we start at an early age to promote the love of learning, also using different off the field methods.
